Don't mind me, just getting acquainted with a new Tarot deck...
This is the Sasuraibito Tarot, purchased from a demi-local artist down in SeaTac, so it actually managed to get here within a few days of my Etsy transaction despite the current state of everything. I've been wanting it for a while and finally decided to spend some of my stimulus check on it.
This deck is very golden and shiny. It even feels golden and shiny.
I did my usual thing of shuffling, then setting aside the top card and the bottom card as the sort of greetings/farewell sections of the reading. Then I asked three questions and drew a card from a random point in the deck for each.
Here's what I got.
TOP CARD: Ten of Pentacles. Wealth, Success, Stability. But also: "This card underscores the value of family, extended and adopted..."
So the deck is congratulating me on finally deciding I could afford to buy it and saying that it's happy to be part of the family now. It feels kind of sassy and full of itself honestly but that's not a bad quality.
FIRST QUESTION: What can you do for me?
⇒ Wheel of Fortune. "The Wheel of Fortune is the card of destiny, and signifies an element of change..."
So it's sort of being sassy again--hi, I'm a Tarot deck, I tell your fortune! But it's also offering to help me change.
SECOND QUESTION: What can't you do?
⇒ Ten of Wands. Overworking, taking on too many burdens, struggle.
"Well, I can't do everything." See, it's sassy.
THIRD QUESTION: What can I do for you?
⇒ Six of Wands. Victory, acclaim, success.
So I can help it win something? Okay, I'm game...although the deck booklet also says that this is the card of learning to love yourself, which is a bit harder.
BOTTOM CARD: King of Cups. Caring, diplomatic, calm, tolerant.
A friendly, diplomatic farewell.
